Seher Shah: Of Absence and Weight

Presented by Nature Morte, “Of Absence and Weight” is the second solo show in New Delhi by Seher Shah.

Shah has a background in art and architecture and her works – drawings, prints and sculptures – explore a range of processes drawing on those disciplines.

The show’s aesthetic is expressed through ink and graphite drawings, etchings and woodcuts, photographs and digital prints, as well as cast iron sculpture. The impermanent nature of objects and materials, and aggressive architectural aesthetics are two interrelated interests that are explored at varying scales.
