Elad Lassry
The exhibition is dedicated to the artist Elad Lassry, featuring photographs and sculptures which combine flat experience and dimensionality. His works always carry a sense of destabilisation and implicate other meanings and proposals.
A body of pictures on show consists of black and white photographs of ski sets and boots, which bear the signs of the artist’s intervention, such as marks and erasures. Another series is composed by pictures from an imaginary fashion shoot, like fragments of information which refer to other external systems.
Born in Tel Aviv, Elad Lassry currently lives and works in Los Angeles. He has exhibited individually at Le Plateau, Paris (2018); Vancouver Art Gallery, Canada, curated by Jeff Wall (2017); Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam (2014); Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo (2012); and Kunsthalle Zurich, Switzerland (2010). Group exhibitions include Walker Art Center, Minneapolis (2016); Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York (2015); The Museum of Modern Art, New York (2014), and many others.
