El Museo del Barrio presents an exhibition that narrates New York’s Puerto Rican population through 79 photographs by the founding members of the Bronx-based collective.

El Museo del Barrio presents “En Foco: The New York Puerto Rican Experience, 1973–74“.
The exhibition revolves around the founding members of the Bronx-based collective “En Foco“, Charles Biasiny-Rivera, Roger Cabán and Felipe Dante, and feature 79 photographs taken between 1973 and 1974 that document New York’s Puerto Rican population as a visual testament. The key themes that emerge from these works are education, small business and labour inside the Puerto Rican community.
In addition to the complete selection of photographs, the show is supplemented with posters, exhibition catalogues and other ephemera related to En Foco’s historical engagement with El Museo del Barrio.
