Glenn Kaino: Walking with a Tiger

“Walking with a Tiger,” the latest exhibition by Glenn Kaino, marks the artist’s first major presentation with Pace since joining the gallery in 2021. Renowned for his multidisciplinary, activist-oriented practice, Kaino explores political, social, and environmental issues through various mediums, including paintings, sculptures, installations, and films. This exhibition features 18 new artworks, including paintings, embroideries, and sculptures, created in 2023. Departing from his previous macro-scale explorations, Kaino turns inward to his family history and Japanese-American identity, offering a deeply personal perspective.
