Jennifer Guidi: Gemini

In “Gemini“, entitled after her own astrological sign, Jennifer Guidi explore opposites: light and darkness, abstraction and figuration, science and mysticism. The artist’s visual identity is characterised by hypnotic patterns and chromatic shifts in immersive compositions reminding to Minimalism.

“Colours charge us externally and internally. I translate these colours into works every day. On an intuitive level, I am guided by the colours in nature”, says the artist.

In her attempt to capture the colours produced by nature, Guidi unites “color, shape, nature and philosophy” in her mandala-like paintings incorporating sand along with oil and acrylic paints.
