Nicholas Buffon: Vehicles

Gallery Callicoon Fine Arts hosts the solo exhibition dedicated to Nicholas Buffon, including sculptures and paintings by the American artist. Buffon collects images of the vehicles which  cruise the East Village where he lives. Impressed by the great number of these giant trucks circulating in the streets, transporting goods and providing services, he shoots pictures of them. Starting from these images or from the ones scouted on Google Street View, he paints their “portraits” in brilliant acrylic paint, creating very detailed scenes which breath life into the cast of characters that inhabit the city.
