Raymond Pettibon: A Pen of All Work

New Museum, 235 Bowery

Curated by Gary Carrion-Murayari, Kraus Family Curator, and Massimiliano Gioni, Edlis Neeson Artistic Director, the exhibition “Raymond: Pettibon: A Pen of All Work” at the New Museum is showcasing the thirty year- career of the American artist (born in 1957 in Tucson, Arizona).

Well known for his drawings and caricatures, Pettibon has produced thousands of drawings and installations which are now spread across museums and galleries around the world. Focusing on the postwar period, the artist interpreted the collapse of the American culture in the ’70s and ’80s.
