Unpacking the Green Book

Unpacking the Green Book: Travel and Segregation in Jim Crow America” establishes a dialogue with Derrick Adams: Sanctuary, an exhibition that explores issues of mobility and racism that are also relevant to the experiences happening at the United States–Mexico border.

The show explores the history of The Green Book in an interactive project space through materials such as a library and reading area devoted to the topics of segregation, travel, and leisure, specifically as they relate to the black American experience in the midcentury.
