SoleLuna Doc Film Festival

Then the Sole Luna Doc Film Festival will take place in Palermo from July 2nd to 8th for its 13th edition at Santa Maria Dello Spasimo with the two showcases: Human Rights and The Journey.

This year’s selection sees 27 documentary films in competition, including 18 national premieres, and the festival’s ability to present new trends in international documentary cinema and to promote emerging filmmakers.

The documentaries are divided into three sections: the Human Rights section that collects documentaries that tell stories of denied, mortified or achieved rights with great visual power; The journey, which takes the journey as an experience and metaphor of the human dimension; the news of success, the short films, a review of crucial themes of our contemporaneity, work, gender relations, motherhood and migration issues.
