Aysha E Arar
Aysha E Arar is a Palestinian artist born in 1993. She received her BFA with honours from the HaMidrasha Faculty of Arts at Beit Berl College in 2018. Her practice spans painting, video, performance and poetry. Arar uses fiction and poetry to explore Palestinian history, lived experience and possible futures. Her work combines personal and political perspectives, moving between abstraction and figuration. As a painter, she works on paper, canvas and directly on walls, creating compositions that feature creatures, animals and figures inspired by Palestinian legends. Her practice also incorporates spontaneous forms and approaches to image-making. Alongside her solo exhibition, Arar’s first monograph will be published by Mousse Publishing.
