Being in the world

"Being in the World" brings together four practices that explore how we exist socially and inhabit physical and digital spaces—whether private or public—and how we relate to ourselves and to others, as well as to processes of learning. Each artist examines the performative dimensions of identity: the images we construct of ourselves, the languages we adopt, and the subcultures we inhabit. Beneath a surface of hypervisibility, the exhibition traces an underlying absence, asking what truly speaks when we speak, and what remains present in what we see.
