Canadian Season
With the support of the Canadian Cultural Centre, Galerie Poggi presents a programme focused on Canadian artists with whom the gallery has established long-standing collaborations. The gallery’s spaces host projects by Kapwani Kiwanga and Manuel Mathieu, whose exhibition marks his first solo presentation in France, as well as Larissa Fassler, who is featured in the graphic arts cabinet with a presentation resulting from her research residency at Concordia University in Montreal.
As part of the programme, the gallery’s booth at Art Basel Paris brings together recent paintings by Manuel Mathieu and a sculpture by Kapwani Kiwanga. Galerie Poggi has maintained close links with the Canadian art scene for more than fifteen years. It currently represents Kapwani Kiwanga and Larissa Fassler and recently announced its representation of Manuel Mathieu.
The gallery has also developed partnerships with Canadian institutions, through which works by artists in its programme have been presented, including Sophie Ristelhueber at the National Gallery of Canada and Babi Badalov at the MacKenzie Art Gallery.
