Ce qui demeure

"Ce qui demeure" brings together works previously presented in exhibitions at Salle Principale since 2014. Rather than marking ten years of programming or presenting a retrospective of the gallery, the exhibition brings together works whose themes and questions remain relevant. Since its founding, Salle Principale has supported artists whose practices engage with social and political transformations. Across different generations, their works examine power relations, economic models, the use of territory and resources, forms of representation, and different ways of inhabiting the world. The exhibition considers what remains after an exhibition has been dismantled: not only the works themselves, but also the ideas, discussions and perspectives associated with them. By bringing together works from past exhibitions, "Ce qui demeure" reflects on how exhibitions and artworks can continue to shape discussions beyond their original presentation.
