Daniel Dewar & Grégory Gicquel: La Sève et la Vase
Daniel Dewar & Grégory Gicquel have worked as a duo since 1997, creating sculptures and objects by hand in their workshops using a wide range of traditional and contemporary craft techniques. Their practice examines the relationship between labour, materials and nature.
The exhibition spans Loevenbruck’s two Parisian sites, presenting complementary bodies of work that reflect this engagement. At 6 rue Jacques-Callot, they show new silk paintings and a pink marble sculpture, continuing themes explored in their recent exhibition The Wet Wing at Z33, Hasselt, Belgium. At 12 rue Jacques-Callot, visitors will find oak furniture, bas-reliefs, and benches with embroidered seats, highlighting their ongoing interest in craft, the natural world, and the interplay between human and natural forms.
