Durand-Ruel. Generations of Vision

More than a century after the death of Paul Durand-Ruel, the visionary art dealer and tireless champion of the Impressionists, this exceptional sale brings together a remarkable group of works that has remained in his family for generations.

Featuring masterpieces by some of the defining figures of Impressionism—including Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley or Eugène Boudin (…)—the collection offers a rare insight into the enduring relationships between Durand-Ruel, the artists he passionately supported, and the descendants who have faithfully preserved his legacy over the years.

Passed down through generations, these works bear witness not only to Durand-Ruel’s extraordinary role in the history of Impressionism, but also to the lasting bonds of trust, friendship and admiration that connected him with the artists he championed.
