Elmgreen & Dragset: Les Fous d’En Face

Elmgreen & Dragset are a Berlin-based artist duo who have collaborated since 1995. Initially, their work centred on performances that challenged conventional exhibition formats, but their practice has since evolved to encompass immersive installation and sculpture. Through reconfiguration and displacement, their art draws attention to the agencies embedded in everyday objects and spaces that define our public and private lives. Their practice explores questions of identity and belonging, focusing on the discourse that emerges when objects are reconfigured and recontextualised, and traditional modes of art presentation are altered.
