Ghosts

For Design Miami.Paris and Art Basel Paris, downtown+ presents "Ghosts", bringing together French designer Wendy Andreu and Berlin-based artist Ais. Exploring themes of presence, transformation and memory, the exhibition establishes a dialogue between design and painting.

Andreu reimagines familiar furniture by transforming its surfaces with layers of cotton rope and silicone, while Ais creates intimate paintings through processes of layering and erasure. Together, their works consider how objects, gestures and memories persist, evolve and take on new forms.
