Gustave Fayet, Collector – Designer. Icons of Modern Art

The exhibition explores Gustave Fayet’s activities as a collector and designer, bringing together more than 250 works from his collection with 375 of his own creations. Works by artists including Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin and Odilon Redon are presented alongside Fayet’s paintings, ceramics, textiles, rugs, wallpaper designs and illustrated books. The exhibition examines the connections between collecting, artistic creation and decorative arts in the early 20th century.
