Hank Willis Thomas: Afterimage

Paris Matignon presents "Afterimage", an exhibition by Hank Willis Thomas marking the beginning of the gallery’s collaboration with the American artist and his return to Paris after nearly twenty years. The themes explored in the Paris presentation are further developed through two concurrent exhibitions examining Thomas’s and Man Ray’s legacies across GALLERIA CONTINUA’s spaces in San Gimignano and Rome, providing different perspectives on the artist’s practice. The Paris exhibition focuses on Thomas’s recent sculptures and retroreflective works, bringing together works that engage with themes of representation, perception and visual memory.
