Jakob Lena Knebl: Waiting for the sound of thunder

Playing with the languages of fashion and art history, and notions of identity and desire, Jakob Lena Knebl uses spatial and photographic interventions, such as juxtaposition and mise-en-scène, to deconstruct and reconstruct ideas of identity and our relationship to objects and spaces of cultural memory. Her work draws on art history and popular culture, exploring the construction and transformation of identity through fashion, design, music, scenography and architecture.
