Jean Claracq: Open Space #7

The first solo exhibition in a museum by the French painter

Fondation Louis Vuitton, 8 Avenue du Mahatma Gandhi,

The solo exhibition dedicated to the Franch painter Jean Claracq features his signature-style and miniature-size artworks, inspired both by Western art from the Middle Age on and social networks. Despite the small dimensions, the paintings are rich in details and offer multiple stories merging different temporalities and places. On view until January 2021, a series of recent works if his alongside “Propaganda” (2020), a never before seen polyptych made of five paintings.
Curated by Ludovic Delalande and Claire Staebler, “Open Space” is a programme that invites international contemporary artists to create a specific work for the Fondation Louis Vuitton: the pieces are displayed in different areas throughout Frank Gehry’s building in Paris.
