L’Appartement d’August Perret

Genius Loci is a program dedicated to spotlighting architectural heritage in conversation with contemporary creation. This second edition reveals for the first time to the public the personal apartment of Auguste Perret, esteemed architect of the 20th century and pioneer of reinforced concrete.
Under the curatorship of Marion Vignal, Genius Loci presents Auguste Perret’s apartment. A protected historical monument, the apartment is an Art Deco masterpiece built in wood and concrete. The exhibition brings together creations from emerging talent and major figures in contemporary art and design, juxtaposing them with Auguste Perret’s unique pieces and works by his artist friends from his private collection.
