With the interdisciplinary event Le Maroc Contemporain (Contemporary Morocco), the Institut du monde Arabe focuses on contemporary art in Morocco and presents a major exhibition of the developing contemporary scene. The exhibition will be held in all of the Institute’s exhibition galleries and will bring together works from over seventy-five artists. Extending beyond the fine arts, the exhibition will be complimented by films, musical performances, and dance.
Le Maroc Contemporain will put together various artists and medium in the IMAspaces. Visitors will be able to see:
– A major exhibition, showcasing over 80 living artists representic an artistic and cultural diversity within Morocco.
– Thirty concerts of various genres of Moroccan music, from classical to rap and hip-hop.
– Dance shows.
– Talks and discussions.
