Louise Vo Tan: Soft Power

For this exhibition, Louise Vo Tan presents a new audiovisual installation composed of films shot at the Banc National d’Épreuve in Saint-Étienne and at the Louvre Museum in Paris.

A hybrid artist working across experimental video, sound and installation, Vo Tan explores systemic transformations and their resonances, creating immersive experiences where physical, social and psychic worlds intertwine. Starting from visual or symbolic entities, she examines the power objects hold over human behaviour.

Her work fuses sound, image and interactive devices to reveal tensions between technology and archaism, violence and harmony, creation and destruction. Through this immersive lens, she constructs fragile ecosystems where disparate systems collide, converse and coexist, inviting the viewer to navigate subtle interconnections of contemporary life.
