Moderne(s), une collection particulière européenne

On October 23, “Moderne(s), une collection particulière européenne” will inaugurate Christie’s highly anticipated week of 20th/21st century fall art auctions during Art Basel Paris.
Comprising of around forty modern and contemporary works, the collection pays tribute to the European avant-garde. Highlights include “La Passerelle Debilly”, a 1903 Post-Impressionist oil on canvas by Paul Signac; “Le Ciel passe dans l’air”, an early 1926 painting by René Magritte; “Fruit d’une longue expérience”, a rare 1919 Dada-period wood relief by Max Ernst; “Le Matelas” by Domenico Gnoli and “Seated girl in brown dress” d’Egon Schiele.
