Nikita Kadan
Galerie Poggi presents a solo exhibition by Nikita Kadan (b. 1982, Kiev), a major figure of the Ukrainian art scene. His work addresses the legacies of the Soviet system and the transformations of post-communist societies, while also reflecting on the current realities of Ukraine. Trained in monumental painting at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Kiev, Kadan now works across installation, drawing, painting and public interventions. He is a member of R.E.P. (Revolutionary Experimental Space) and co-founder of the curatorial collective HUDRADA, through which he explores collaborative practices and the political role of art. His projects often involve architects, sociologists and activists, creating interdisciplinary dialogues that highlight connections between history, ideology and everyday life. At Galerie Poggi, Kadan presents works that interrogate continuities between past and present, questioning how art can bear witness to conflict and act as a critical tool for resistance.
