Over the top, undercover

The exhibition brings together works by Jonathan Martin, Rosa Moreno and Clémence de La Tour du Pin that explore the ways perception is shaped and directed. Through film, sound, publications, assemblage, collage and installation, the artists examine the relationship between objects, language, images and systems of control.

Martin works with media and communication, restructuring familiar forms through films, sound pieces and publications. De La Tour du Pin combines anamorphosis, layered materials and historical archives with personal and popular imagery. Moreno uses optical distortion, collage and constructed environments to address urbanity, identity, relationships and language as systems that organise experience.

The exhibition considers what lies beneath or beyond visible surfaces, bringing together works concerned with fantasy, desire, control and interference.
