Sislej Xhafa: L’eau sans rivière

"L’eau sans rivière", a solo exhibition by Sislej Xhafa, brings together works created over more than two decades of artistic practice, alongside new works commissioned for the occasion and Le Village de l’Imagination, a project developed with children and young people from the local community.

Xhafa is known for his exploration of the social, economic and political realities that shape contemporary society. His practice addresses the complex relationships between these forces through a diverse range of media, including sculpture, drawing, performance and photography. Often minimalist, ironic and subversive, his work examines subjects such as tourism, migration and forced illegality, revealing the contradictions and complexities embedded within modern life.
