Tacita Dean & Bruce Nauman

Marian Goodman Gallery in Paris is pleased to announce the first exhibition dedicated to Tacita Dean and Bruce Nauman. The two artists present Drawing Blind Drawing (2026), a film diptych they created together.

Dean works across several mediums, including 16mm and 35mm film, drawing and printmaking. Her work has been described by writer Adrian Searle as being “carried by a sense of history, time, and place, light quality, and the essence of film itself. The focus of her subtle but ambitious work is the truth of the moment, the film as a medium, and the sensibilities of the individual.”

Nauman has contributed to the history of contemporary art since the mid-1960s through his pioneering work across a variety of media, including installation, video, sculpture, performance, photography, drawing and sound. His art is distinguished by an interest in understanding human experience and its conventions, as well as the inner workings of the psyche, which he investigates through the perception of the body and interactions with space, time and language. Nauman’s work also frequently makes use of wordplay, through which he explores alternative methods of communication.
