Taro Izumi: Pan

The Palais de Tokyo displays the first large-scale solo exhibition ever held in France by Taro Izumi. The peculiar Japanese artist is famous for creating a world which revolves around installations, sculptures and videos – a world whose mechanism is governed by accidents, play or perturbation. Curated by Jean de Loisy, “Pan” is a show collecting some ludic works that are often absurd and become extraordinarily unexpected items that ironically thwart our artistic and social habits.
