La Collection Danute et Alain Mallart : Bruxelles – Paris – Vilnius

In October, as Paris hosts the third edition of the modern and contemporary art fair, Art Basel Paris, Christie’s will be holding a series of sales and events focused on modern and contemporary art, making it a key part of the week’s agenda.

An exceptional European collection, spanning Brussels, Paris, and Vilnius, will open this Marquee Week at Christie’s. Reflecting the strong personalities of its collectors, Danute and Alain Mallart, as well as their visionary taste and commitment to the arts, this collection is the result of over 30 years of dedicated curation. It blends European heritage with contemporary art and design, featuring young artists alongside international figures like Marlène Dumas, Anish Kapoor, Sigmar Polke, Georg Baselitz, Anthony Gormley, and Yayoi Kusama. The collection also includes furniture from the 1930s to today, with pieces by Zsolnay, Georges de Feure, Jean-Michel Frank, Jean Dunand, Eugène Printz, Marc du Plantier, Diego Giacometti and a triking ensemble of very rare works by André Dubreuil.
