Trouver son Monde
At le19M, creation takes shape through transmission: the passing of a gesture, the echo of a story, the imprint of a memory, or the spirit of a place. The works on view — painted out of friendship, filmed for posterity, photographed in travel, sculpted as legacy, or embroidered by tradition — become living symbols of exchange, weaving links between personal and collective narratives.
In this spirit, the exhibition “Trouver son Monde” foregrounds collaborations between historic maisons d’art and emerging artists, reflecting la Galerie du 19M’s mission to preserve living heritage while opening new creative horizons. The embroiderers of Atelier Montex and Maison Lesage, the Paloma grand flou workshop, featherworker Lemarié, and pleater Atelier Lognon have joined forces with young creators, fusing ancestral know-how with experimental approaches. These encounters generate a dialogue where techniques are renewed and Métiers d’art revealed in a contemporary light.
At the heart of le19M’s project lies initiation through craft: celebrating the act of sharing, visitors are invited to take part in a giant participatory embroidery workshop open to all ages. A programme of talks, workshops, and events will run alongside the exhibition, reinforcing the gallery’s role as a platform for savoir-faire and creativity in all its forms.
