Xavier Veilhan: Le Mobile n°4
From 13 October 2021, the work of Xavier Veilhan, Le Mobile n°4 (2017), is installed at the Louvre. During FIAC 2021 (which will be held in the Tuileries Garden, among other locations), the artist is generously lending one of his creations to the museum. This installation occupies the landing of the Salle de la Chapelle, harmoniously integrating with the architecture.
An artist of international renown, Xavier Veilhan has exhibited all over the world: at the Château de Versailles, Centre Pompidou, Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain de Strasbourg, the Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain de Genève, but also in Seoul, New York, Tokyo, or at the Venice Biennale. Blending tradition and modernity, the French artist’s creations are diverse and include paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos, or performances.
