You and Your Gang
The exhibition brings together around three dozen works emerging from individual and collective artistic practices. Together, they map a social and artistic field shaped by the specific territories from which the works originate, including Limousin, the Cévennes, Corsica, the Hautes-Pyrénées and the Basque Country. The selection reflects on the relationships between artistic practice, place and forms of community, while preserving the singularity of each context. The title refers to a work by Gina Proenza and evokes the many forms of togetherness represented throughout the exhibition. Artist collectives, communities organised around shared ways of living and working, and groups engaged in activism all contribute to a broader reflection on how people come together. The exhibition thus considers collective practice not as a single model, but as a range of social, artistic and political forms that develop in relation to particular territories and shared experiences.
