The group exhibition features artists with different creative approaches

Galerie Zdeněk Sklenář, Mikulandská 135/7, Prague

The group exhibition provides the context for an original comparison of artists with different creative approaches. Among the pieces involved in this creative dialogue, Emil Filla’s figurative still-lifes and Jan Zrzavý’s paintings, the intimate confessions of Václav Boštík displayed side-by-side with Zdeněk Sýkora’s line compositions, Toyen and her artificial landscape covered by melting snow next to the Bohumil Kubišta’s portrait of his friend Antonín Matějček or Karel Malich’s hanging sculpture “Egg”.

The comparative exhibition spans the period between 1919 and 2019 and inaugurates a new tradition for the gallery. An original division of the space into different areas and exhibitions will take place starting from “Stars”, set into the Bird Salon, a room of the gallery named after the decorative frescoes of the palace.
