With Quase Aqui, the internationally renowned artist Daniel Senise (b. 1955, Rio de Janeiro) occupies all four floors of the Oi Futuro Flamengo. The show comprehends works in several languages, ranging from painting to installation and site-specific, that are in direct dialogue with the architecture of the cultural centre, that celebrates 10 years in 2015.
One of the exponents of the 80s Generation, Senise has been producing artworks in several media, such as painting, photography, interventions, digital art, etc., to engender reflections that are utterly about painting and the investigation of space. It’s the case, for instance, of the room “O Sol me ensinou que a história não é tão importante”, presented at the Bienal de São Paulo in 2010, or the installation”2892”, created for the space of Casa França-Brasil (Rio de Janeiro) in 2011.
