Encontros Carbônicos II – O Futuro em Disputa

Carbono magazine organizes the second edition of the Encontros Carbônicos II – O Futuro em Disputa [Carbonic Encounters II – Future in Dispute], an event that gathers a group show and a series of public talks with artists and scientists. The exhibition includes works by artists like Milton Machado (b. 1947, Rio de Janeiro), Cinthia Marcelle (b. 1974, Belo Horizonte), and Daniel Steegmann Mangrané (b. 1977, Barcelona), among others.

In December, Carbonic Encounters present interdisciplinary talks at the theater of Oi Futuro Ipanema. The debates will analyze perspectives on the future and discuss ways to dispute them in the present, investigating themes such as previsions/provisions, utopia/dystopia, construction/destruction, project/arbitrariness, imagining new forms of existing.
