PAVILHÃO
PAVILHÃO is an exhibition display. As in the universal exhibitions, recurring in the nineteenth century and updated on the major exhibitions of international art of the XX and XXI century, PAVILHÃO shows the different material and immaterial cultures that are negotiated and appropriate today between agents and various cultural activities managers in Rio de Janeiro.
For PAVILHÃO, museums, independent spaces and educational programs of Rio de Janeiro meet again to open their curio cabinets.
Participate at the exhibition of Casa França-Brasil: A MESA, casamata, CCBB, Despina | Largo das Artes, EAV Parque Lage, És Uma Maluca, MAM-Rio, MAR, Museu Bispo do Rosário de Arte Contemporânea, Museu da Maré, Museu Histórico Nacional, Olho da Rua, Paço Imperial, and other actions related to exposure.
How to show the arising culture of each institution? Beyond the material culture that marked the universal exhibitions, displaying plants, animals, jewelry, spices, it has been requested to PAVILHÃO mainly the body and the voice. It displays adverse speeches, still acting in the directions of a system that distinguishes, separates, selects but also produces its counter-speeches.
