Bacon, Freud and the School of London

The exhibition at Chiostro del Bramante brings together major artworks from 1945 to 2004 by the two masters painters which are part of Tate Modern collection. For the first time they are exhibited together in an Italian exhibition. This impressive loan consists of over fifty paintings, drawings and engravings by artists working in London in the aftermath of World War II and connected to the so-called “School of London”.

In addition to Bacon and Freud, the show features a group of artists such as Michael Andrews, Frank Auerbach, Leon Kossoff, and Paula Rego.
