Letizia Battaglia: Just for Passion

Letizia Battaglia, recognized as one of the most important photographer and reporter of the Mafia, is showcasing over 200 photographs, vintage prints as well as magazines, publications, films and interviews at Fondazione MAXXI.

She is the witness to life and society in Italy and she takes the opportunity to declare the civic and ethical value she brings to the practice of photography, reflecting the various aspects of her work, from photography to political commitment, from publishing to the theatre and film and through to the recent institution of the Centro internazionale di fotografia in Palermo.
