Robert Indiana. To the 50th Anniversary of Love

Robert Indiana, born Robert Clark, is an American artist associated with the pop art movement. His “LOVE” print  was first created in 1965 for New York  Museum of Modern Art Christmas card. The serigraph of “Love” was printed as part of an exhibition poster for Stable Gallery in 1966. In the following years it was executed in various techniques and in 1973 became the basis for the “LOVE” stamp of the United States Postal Service.
The Russian Museum exhibition dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of Indiana’s “LOVE” will present his various pieces of art of the last decades.
