Tomás Saraceno: Stillness in Motion — Cloud Cities
SFMOMA presents an immersive installation by Tomás Saraceno. Viewers can explore and pass across these amazing structures and live an immersive experience in the exhibition spaces of the museum. “Stillness in Motion — Cloud Cities” is an experimental model for airborne cities which aim to make reflect upon the use of sustainable tools in collective environments.
In this exhibition, visitors walk around an array of cloud-like, geometrically complex cities, suspended in the air.
Visual artist and architect Tomás Saraceno’s (b.1973, Argentina) artistic research deals with everything in the worlds of art from architecture, science, astrophysics and engineering. He explores environmental and sustainable issues through his floating sculptures and interactive installations.
