Alexandre da Cunha: Real

For his fourth solo show at Luisa Strina, Alexandre da Cunha (b. 1969, Rio de Janeiro) exhibits a new series of large dimensions wall pieces and sculptures made in concrete from used tire casts.

He also expands his research with everyday materials, presenting sculptures with molten elements, adding new aspect to his work. By using found objects juxtaposed by their formal affinities, the artist creates a new language and invites the viewer to perceive these objects differently.
