Ana Luiza Dias Batista: Espelho Curvo

Dias Batista (b. 1978, São Paulo) explores our expectancies regarding the scale and function of objects in this show, where she displays works created with several media, all of which allude to the universe of amusement parks.

More than a theme, the reference to parks is meant to explore and subvert an exhibition and interaction regime particular to such environments — like Eva, a fiberglass miniature replica of a famous park attraction from the 80s, a huge toy shaped as a woman in whose interior people could walk.
