Ayrson Heráclito: Atotô, Obaluayê!
In his solo Atotô, Abuluayê! exhibition Ayrson Heráclito will show Works from two distinct series that the artist has developed: Buruburu and Agbê Vodun. In both series the artist analyses ritualistic, symbolic and ethnographic questions and also discusses the relationship between the construction of cultural identities and the spontaneous course of these phenomenon. Buruburu and Agbê Vodun are series that have a symbolic similarities as they both aboard the theme of cleaning and energising rituals.
Ayrson Heráclito is a visual artist that has participated in various solo shows, fairs, festivals and Bienals in Brazil and around the world. Focused in photography, in his work we see Colonial Brazil, ch’arki, sugar, fish, sperm and blood, bodies, pain, rapture, apartheids and dreams of freedom.
