Christian Cravo: Luz & Sombra

Museu Afro Brasil, Pedro Alvares Cabral Ave, Parque Ibirapuera

The show comprises 40 black and white photographs, result of the artist’s several incursions to six African countries: Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The exhibition, which has already been seen in New York (USA) and Salvador (Brazil), proposes an unusual approach to Africa, depicting the continent through Cravo‘s particular perspective.

Born in 1974, Christian Cravo was raised in an artistic environment, in Salvador (Bahia, Brazil). He’s son of Brazilian artist Mario Cravo Neto (1947-2009) with Danish Eva Christensen; and grandson of renowned artist from Bahia Mario Cravo Jr. (1923).
