Collections 10

Collections 10 is the tenth edition of the Collections series, that started as an exhibition curated by Nessia Leonzini in 2000 including large edition photographs. The Collections series, considered a pioneer project in Brazilian photography and contemporary art, has the objective of increasing public interest in photography and forming new collectors. Over 100 Brazilian and foreign artists, some established and others emerging, have participated in Collections.

This edition, curated by Liu Lage features 23 artists who also work with other media and represent different perspectives on contemporary art. They use a pictorial vocabulary inspired by objects and situations from day-to-day life or determined by a personal artistic outlook. The spirit of Collections is defined by the involvement of the artists who produce specific works for the project, offered in series of 100, and make it possible to purchase artworks at an affordable price.
