DŌ: A Caminho da Virtude (The way of virtue)

DŌ: a Caminho da Virtude intends to investigate the philosophy of Budô through six Japanese martial arts like Aikidō, Kendō, Karate, Judō, Sumō and Kyudō. These will be presented through photos, videos, texts, live presentations and practical workshops, which aim to highlight the main elements, movements and concepts of each of these arts. Budô has its origins in the ancient tradition of Bushido – literally, “the path of the warrior.” It is also used to describe Budo’s athletes lifestyle, which encompasses a range of physical, philosophical, and moral aspects with a focus on discipline as well as personal and spiritual growth.
