Estandartes e Fábulas

The exhibition Estandartes e Fábulas [Emblems and Fables] comprises 25 pieces by each participating artist – Claudio Mubarac (b. 1959, Rio Claro) and Ulysses Bôscolo (b. 1977, São Paulo). While the first created emblems in precious papers from several origins, other than prints of icons print from lead plates coated in gold, silver and copper, Bôscolo exhibits woodcuts, objects and works on Japanese paper. The artists have known each other for over twenty years and are both fascinated by the print image and its variation throughout history. The show is curated by Renato De Cara .

Claudio Mubarac is livre docente [free docent] by São Paulo University – USP, where he’s currently a professor of drawing and engraving. Ulysses Bôscolo holds a bachelor degree in Fine Arts and a post-graduate degree in Arts.
