Eugenio Espinoza

For his first solo show at Leme, the artist presents two distinct bodies of works. The first one is composed by a group of photos, taken by Espinoza (b. 1950, Venezuela) himself during his show at Conkright Gallery in 1973, when rolls of fabric with a black grid printed on them (with the same dimensions as the Impenetrables, his most famous series) was accessible to the public who was invited to interact with it, by cutting it into pieces and using them at will. The second body of work comprises collages from 2003.
